Rosen and Kowalski, who are both members of the town's 1st night committee, provide details about planning the event and how it will coincide with the 75th anniversary of Nestle's Toll House cookie. The town plans to feature entertainment like three bands, a pyrotechnics display and then ultimately to lower a 75 inch in diameter Toll House cookie as the clock reached midnight.

Monday Night Talk host Kevin Tocci and Joe Rossi speak with the founder of the Jeffrey Coombs Memorial Foundation, Christie Coombs about the upcoming road race and family day. The 12th Annual Jeff Coombs Road Race, Walk & Family Day will take place on September 8th at the Woodsdale Elementary School on Abington. Besides a race, there will be a moonwalk, an inflatable obstacle course for the older kids, the National Guard Pedal Cars, and a basketball and baseball challenge as well as ring toss and a first time kids' raffle. The Jeffrey Coombs Memorial Foundation was established to provide assistance to area children, youths, and families, and to help fund enrichment programs within Abington schools. The non-profit, 501C-3 organization is in memory of Jeff Coombs, an Abington father of three who died on September 11, 2001 in the WTC Terrorist Attacks. Since the very informal creation of the Foundation in November of 2001, a dedicated and wonderful group of volunteers has raised more than $350,000 with eight road races, three auctions, two yard sales, three teen concerts and a Christmas sale.
