Monday Night Talk host Kevin Tocci and Joe Rossi speak to local business owner Richard Rosen and Selectmen Chairman Carl Kowalski about the town of Whitman hosting its first ever 1st night celebration. Rosen and Kowalski, who are both members of the town's 1st night committee, provide details about planning the event and how it will coincide with the 75th anniversary of Nestle's Toll House cookie. The town plans to feature entertainment like three bands, a pyrotechnics display and then ultimately to lower a 75 inch in diameter Toll House cookie as the clock reached midnight.

Christine also was involved with writing, directing, producing and acting in the short film "Bathing & the Single Girl." When she isn't in front of the camera, she like to blog about food and write stories and anecdotes from her life.

Monday Night Talk sits down with Pete Gustin, a voice over artist and Creative Services Director at WEEI Sports Talk Radio for a segment to discuss how he overcame adversity to become one of the most sought after voices in the industry. Gustin developed macular degeneration at the age of eight, which eventually led to him losing most of his eyesight. After being told by an agent that he would never make in it as a voice over actor, he worked to improve his memory and taught himself how to read scripts with the help of a computerized voice. His hard work helped him to earn his current position at WEEI, along with voice over work for television, movie trailers, video games and much more!!!

Monday Night Talk host Kevin Tocci and Joe Rossi speak with the founder of the Jeffrey Coombs Memorial Foundation, Christie Coombs about the upcoming road race and family day. The 12th Annual Jeff Coombs Road Race, Walk & Family Day will take place on September 8th at the Woodsdale Elementary School on Abington. Besides a race, there will be a moonwalk, an inflatable obstacle course for the older kids, the National Guard Pedal Cars, and a basketball and baseball challenge as well as ring toss and a first time kids' raffle. The Jeffrey Coombs Memorial Foundation was established to provide assistance to area children, youths, and families, and to help fund enrichment programs within Abington schools. The non-profit, 501C-3 organization is in memory of Jeff Coombs, an Abington father of three who died on September 11, 2001 in the WTC Terrorist Attacks. Since the very informal creation of the Foundation in November of 2001, a dedicated and wonderful group of volunteers has raised more than $350,000 with eight road races, three auctions, two yard sales, three teen concerts and a Christmas sale.
