The main complaint from Duxbury residents is that NStar is unwilling to negotiate with homeowners on the number of trees it will cut down or the plant life it will eliminate along an easement or Right of Way (ROW) to prevent future power outages.

Byers has led the fight against a proposed gas-fired power plant and a desalination water plant that has cost Brockton taxpayers nearly $6 million a year for a product it doesn't use. The troubled desalination plant has drawn media interest outside of the city, as Boston Magazine is due to publish a story this week on the issue.
