The event has been rescheduled for February 25th.

An educational program for all parents and caring adults to learn about the very real epidemic of opiate and heroin abuse facing our community today. The speaking program (beginning at 7pm) will feature a panel presentation, followed by Q&A. Panelists will include Lt. Robert Wells from Kingston Police Dept.; Dr. Ludi Jamingas, Chief of Emergency Medicine from Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth; Ryan Morgan, Principal of Independence Academy; and Rich Barnes, a local recovering addict. Rep. Calter will moderate and will give legislative updates, progress and challenges. 

Opening remarks will be offered by Superintendent John Tuffy, SLRSD; Chief Robert Heath, KFD; Chief Maurice Splaine, KPD; and Peter Holden, CEO, BID-Plymouth. 

Preceding the panel program, a Resource Expo will run from 6 - 7pm that will give attendees a chance to gather information from area organizations, parent support groups, treatment centers and a myriad of other resources connected to substance abuse.
