HUG Foundation chairman Alex Bezanson and former Boston Bruin Bruce Shoebottom share details of an upcoming celebrity softball game with Monday Night Talk host Kevin Tocci and Joe Rossi. Join the HUG Foundation on Saturday June 29th for a fun filled day at their 1st Annual Celebrity Softball Tournament! The HUG Foundation is looking for 10 teams to enter, each team with a maximum of 15 players. Each team will be paired with a celebrity friend of the HUG Foundation. The cost to enter a team is $750.00 and includes shirts for your team as well as access to the after party. This is a new endeavor for Wai Kru South Shore. The tryouts, which will be held on Thursday, May 30th and Saturday, June 1st to select 5-6 core dancers with 2 possible alternates. Dancers will be selected by attitude, personality, and stage presence; ability to engage and excite audience, availability, commitment level and dance ability. Monday Night Talk host Kevin Tocci, Joe Rossi and guest host Bob Hayes speak with NStar spokesman Michael Durand, NStar Senior Arborist Bill Hayes, Pembroke Town Administrator Ed Thorne, Hanson Selectman Chairman Steve Amico, plus Martha Lauber, Greg O'Neal and Jennifer Niles, who are members of Save Duxbury trees from NStar citizen group about the issue of cutting trees along power lines that run through a number of communities on the South Shore. The main complaint is that NStar has cut or is looking to cut trees that are along an easement or Right of Way (ROW) to prevent any possible power outages in the future due to trees that could fall upon the lines. Duxbury residents say what the utility company is proposing is excessive, while NStar reps say they're willing to work with residents who have concerns.
